Summery: Vampire attack.
Teeth. Sharp. Deadly. Piercing the delicate flesh of his jugular. Lacerating arteries, skin, and muscle. Pain. Fierce and staggering ripping through his nervous system. Screaming because it just hurts so God damned much. Shaking because his brain just can’t understand. White turning red as gurgles replace screams. Wet choking gasps. Pushing, trying to get free. Trying to breathe. Blood. Slickening bare skin, hands sliding through. Warm. Life. Sustenance. Lips. Gentle. So soft and warm. Moving deceptively gently around the gaping wound. Lies spill forth. ‘It won’t hurt if you don’t fight,’ it wasn’t supposed to hurt to begin with. ‘It’s natural,’ so is dying. ‘I love you,’ you don’t know the meaning of the word. Dull nails dig into skin. Bruising grip on arms. Painful tugging on hair. Head forced back to an awkward angle. Wet gurgled pleas to stop. To not do it. Deaf ears. Pulsing sound of blood running through veins. Steady drum. Thu-dump. Thu-dump. Increased speed. Chaos. Fear. Sweet release. Open and trusting. Weak. Vulnerable. Struggling. Fighting back. It’s too late. The damage is done. Even if he managed to get free he wouldn’t go far. Too much damage. Always too much damage. Should have been more careful. Too late now. Must not waste. Sickening pop as fangs are pulled from a bruised throat.
“Oops,” heartless voice echoes.
Cold, flat, lifeless eyes stare up at twinkling stars but see nothing. No the stars. Not the dead-end alley. Not the emotionless silver eyes staring back. Not the thing smiling. Not the too red mouth smearing blood across the back of a hand. Not the glistening red points dripping down the chin. Just nothing. Sirens. Flashing lights. Screamers always attract unwanted attention.
Lights flood the deserted alley. Just like the others. Bloody mess of the throat. No apparent connection to previous victims. Drained of all blood. Signs of struggling. Bruised and beaten. Dead before hitting the ground. No finger prints. No DNA of any kind. Just another victim to the series with no lead. No hope of finding justice.
